HydraCHEK technology is a means of obtaining fast and accurate hydrate inhibitor concentrations for a pipeline to monitor the hydrate inhibition of oil and gas production systems.
Produced Water Analysis

HydraCHEK is a state-of-the-art lab based analytical tool that measures the concentration of hydrate inhibitor and salt in produced water samples taken from a pipeline.
The device measures the acoustic velocity and electrical conductivity of an aqueous sample and an artificial neural network (ANN) is used to correlate the results and develop robust calibrations for detecting different organic hydrate inhibitors.
HydraCHEK has been trained and extensively tested with a number of different hydrate inhibitors including thermodynamic inhibitors (MEG, Methanol, Ethanol), Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors (KHI's) and Anti-Agglomerants (AA's).
Why HydraCHEK?
HydraCHEK is changing the way hydrate risks are managed and gives operators confidence and control over a system previously not possible.
HydraCHEK is:
- Versatile - works with all inhibitors (MEG, Methanol, Ethanol, KHIs, AAs, etc)
- Fast - delivers accurate results in under 10 seconds
- Accurate - ANN calibration performance has been extensively tested and proven
- Easy - simple to use and prepare samples with no chemicals or consumables
